Inspired by Bodum traditional Chambord stovetop espresso maker, this nifty gadget operates on an electric base, much like a water kettle. But you still get to enjoy the romance of brewing – the sight and sound of coffee bubbling into the upper chamber, accompanied by the robust aroma of a strong cup of joe.
A smart addition to any kitchen countertop, the Chambord programmable espresso maker is operated by a simple touch panel control and has an automatic shut-off, making it much safer than a stovetop pot. With a programmable timer and WiFi control, you can set it before going to bed and wake to the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee. This is coffee with true flair – and a little Bodum magic!
Use & Care
Clean regularly to prevent limescale build up. The espresso maker can be cleaned with a descaling product, and the exterior wiped with a damp cloth.
How It Works
- Open the espresso machine by twisting off the upper vessel and removing the coffee funnel
- Fill the water container to the line using fresh, soft water
- Replace the coffee funnel and fill with medium coffee grounds, taking care not to compact the powder too much. Gently spread the powder to ensure an even covering
- Replace the upper vessel and ensure it’s locked into position
- Place the espresso machine on the base and switch on. Choose between an immediate start or opt for a delayed start using the timer. The device can also be operated over WiFi using the Bodum app
- The brewing process stops automatically once all the water has risen into the upper vessel. Your coffee is ready to pour
